Jaeger-LeCoultre
Home to the finest traditions of hand craftsmanship, the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, is one of the few remaining watch companies able to produce a timepiece entirely within its own workshop.
Since 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has developed and made over 250 movements, and now works with a carefully selected bank of 38 calibres offering an exceptionally broad range of functionality. The repertoire runs from Calibre 101, the world's smallest mechanical movement, to the most ingenious complications: tourbillons, perpetual calendars, minute repeater mechanisms, moon-phase and power-reserve displays, chronographs, alarms and dual-time watches.
With more than 40 different areas of expertise and 20 cutting-edge technologies, the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre brings together under one roof those who have adopted the credo: "Far more important than any man-made instruments, eye, hand and heart remain our most precious tools."
The pursuit of excellence and the refusal to accept boundaries are the guiding principles which guarantee the enduring success of Jaeger-LeCoultre. These principles form an integral part of the company's legend, whether expressed through the time measurement objects it creates - the Reverso, Master Control, Master Compressor, Atmos and Idéale - or the proprietary movements within the current collection.
The soul of the brand resides in those who perfect their skills daily in their endeavors. Of the 1,000 people employed worldwide, over 900 are in the workshops of the Vallée de Joux. Year after year, they create the most outstanding timepieces that consistently epitomize Jaeger-LeCoultre's mastery of the art of fine watchmaking.
