Glimpsed at Work: Ashley Houston

Ashley Houston "thrives" on dresses. "It's all I wear," says the 26-year-old DLA Piper attorney. We "glimpsed" the Monkton resident at work in her company's Mount Washington offices in her signature "trendy but classy and feminine" style. Houston sported a BCBG jersey dress she picked up at a Virginia Beach boutique. It had a black short-sleeved batwing top with a ruched black and white pencil-skirt bottom. She added a Slane and Slane double-strand pearl necklace from Radcliffe Jewelers set off with a David Yurman pink quartz enhancer, from the David Yurman store in Chicago. Her bangles were from Slane and Slane, David Yurman and Tiffany. Houston set the whole ensemble off with hot pops of fuchsia; patent leather pointy-toe stiletto pumps and a patent leather tote handbag, both from the Louis Vuitton store in Chicago. She says she often wears black to work. But after hours, "I gravitate to other colors, particularly pink." Her general dress code? "Always accessorize. A simple black outfit can look very nice if you dress it up with a lot of accessories."
