Radcliffe Couple: Meet Julie & Denny Pharmaceutical Fiancés.
We would like to introduce you to the recently engaged, Julie & Denny. A classic story of a pharmacy-school girl crush that lead to a romantic engagement upon the high seas. You can truly feel the excitement and love this great couple shares as you read Julie’s responses below.
How did you meet?
Denny and I both met in Pharmacy School in Erie,PA. To make a long story short, he thought I was crazy because I was sitting next to him giggling to girlfriends over how cute he is. I then invited him to my birthday celebration and after a year of chasing him the rest is history! We've been together now since 2013 so I’ve been waiting for this proposal for a while and of course it was nothing short of amazing.
Please describe the proposal.
We were on a cruise and on the second night he took me to the fancy steak house where we had dinner. While at dinner he told me since we were alreayd dressed up that we were going to have a photo shoot after dinner at the piano bar. When we got to the piano bar it was full of people, at least 100 so I said: “Denny when are these people going to leave?” And he replied, “Oh just be patient”. So, we were hanging out listening to the piano player and when all the sudden the piano player started playing our song: Can't Help Falling in Love with You by Elvis. Denny asked me to dance, which I responded not, since there were so many people in there and I was not about to dance in front of all of them, but eventually I got up. We started dancing and then half way through the song he stopped and got down on one knee. I was so overwhelmed I just started crying and honestly don't ever remember him saying will you marry me! It was such a wonderful romantic proposal. Everyone in the room clapped and cheered, it was awesome!
What was the first thing you did after you got engaged?
Right after we got engaged we busted out the champagne to celebrate and then went to the casino to test out our luck! It was a wonderful night and I couldn't have asked for anything better!
Have you picked a date? Venue? Theme?
We haven't decided on an exact date but it will be in September of 2018. Denny still has family in Korea so we will confirm when they will be able to travel to the US and then we can finalize a date. We already have a theme planned: rustic romance and we're hoping to get married in the mountains of northern NY.
What is something you and your fiancé like to do together?
Denny and I are both pharmacists so we work opposite schedules. When we have time together we are either traveling to see friends, going on vacations or exploring more of Baltimore since we've only been here for about 2 years now.
Will you be taking a honeymoon? If so, where and why did you pick that destination?
Of course, we will be taking a honeymoon since we absolutely love to travel! We went to St.Marteen on our cruise and fell in love with the island so were thinking about going back there. Another option is going to the Greek Islands because they are so beautiful and I have never been to Europe. I am certain that either place we choose we won't regret!
What is a fun fact about you as a couple?
Denny and I have a Bengal (an exotic house cat) named Luna that we got in September and she is our baby. She truly makes us feel like a family and we wouldn't be the same without her!
