For sale is a pre-owned excellent vintage condition 18mm by 38mm 18-karat yellow gold Cartier Tank by Alexis Barthelay. The reference 864, likely dating to the 1960s, will not come with box or papers. The Tank features a white enamel dial with black elongated Roman numerals and a blue cabochon crown. This watch was produced by Alexis Barthelay (a French jewelry and watch maker founded in the 1930s) on behalf of Cartier, making this a particularly rare find! The case is in excellent condition with obvious signs of wear associated with daily use, as would be expected of a piece this vintage. The watch is mounted on a new aftermarket matte brown alligator strap with a gold-toned tang buckle. Powering the 864 is a Cartier hand-wound movement.
