The Date is a 2.2 million serial, dating the Rolex to 1970. The Date has an amazing blue mosaic tritium dial with applied baton hour markers, polished yellow gold hands with matching tritium, a central sweeping second hand and date aperture at 3. The tritium dial and hands are original to the watch , the dial must be seen live to be truly appreciated. The Date has a fixed domed bezel set on the recently refinished case with strong symmetry, balanced lugs, and crisp crown. The 14kt yellow gold USA Jubilee style bracelet does have some notable stretch. The links are in good shape for its age but would rate the stretch at 60% condition. The clasp is in good shape, commiserate with its age, with a strong coronet in place. The Date is an automatic powered by the caliber 1570 which is running within COSC specifications.
