Fernando Jorge

Brazilian born jewellery designer Fernando Jorge encapsulates the laidback attitude and effortless sensuality of his home country, using locally sourced and hand carved gemstones, detailed by his signature finish in fluid and delicate gold structures and diamonds. The result is distinctly sculptural jewellery that is both elegant and modern.  Initially studying in São Paulo, Fernando gathered experience through key design roles in Brazil before moving to London for a Masters degree in Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins. His graduation collection, presented in 2010, was received with critical acclaim and the designer subsequently established his eponymous brand in the UK.  Over the past 10 years as a brand, Fernando has released 10 collections and counting with each having their own unique storyline that cohesively, sit together as a complete body of work. Fernando’s collections are stocked globally by the most prestigious stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Le Bon Marche, and Net-A-Porter. Having gained an international media following, the designer is widely considered to be amongst the brightest emerging talents in the jewellery world. Jorge’s notable achievements include: winner of Best in Coloured Gemstones (2014), Best in Diamonds (2017), and Editor’s Choice (2018 & 2022) at the Couture Jewellery Show, “Diamonds of the Year” from Town & Country (2018), British Fashion Awards nominations for “Best Emerging Accessories Designer” by the British Fashion Council (2014 & 2015), Business of Fashion’s 500 People Shaping the Global Fashion Industry (yearly since 2014), GEM Award for “Jewellery Designer of the Year (2019), and the Town & Country Award for “Best in Diamonds” (2020).
